A trail of beautiful giraffe sculptures has taken Worcester by storm this summer.
Winding through the streets and public spaces, decorated giraffes are now on show from the 9th July to the 16th September 2018.
Join St Richard’s Hospice and Wild in Art as we celebrate the artistic talents of Worcestershire and beyond on the Worcester Stands Tall public art trail. All segments of the creative community have been encouraged to get involved – from established artists to those who are, as yet, undiscovered. The trail map is available as a paper version from Worcester Tourist Information Centre, St Richard’s Hospice city centre shops and the Worcester Stands Tall shop in Crowngate Shopping Centre, plus a downloadable PDF is available below and on the Worcester Stands Tall App (available via Google Play and iTunes).
You can start and end anywhere, there is no correct order, we simply ask that you share your photos with us on social media using #WorcStandsTall. Remember, some Giraffes are not available to see all day every day, so check the details – but they are all free to access.
The trail consists of:
- 30 Large Sculptures
- 27 Small Sculptures
- Within a 1 mile radius of Worcester City Centre
- Approx. 6 miles from Giraffe to Giraffe
- Approx. 16,500 steps on a pedometer
- Taking approx. 4 hours to complete
- The trail can easily be broken down into smaller chunks, should you need to
