Location: Worcester Cathedral
Sponsor: Worcester Cathedral
Artist: Catt Standen
Catt Standen is originally from Plymouth, UK and has lived in Worcester for almost six years.
She has always been a lover of art and is currently trying to start her own henna business which has attributed to her attention to detail.
This is the biggest sculpture Catt has ever worked on and has loved every moment of being a part of Worcester Stands Tall.
Catt is proud to be living in Worcester and has always had an interest in the stain glass windows of Worcester Cathedral.
Her inspiration was triggered by the amazing colours and detail of the main window in the Cathedral which is reflected in the multicoloured paintwork.
Catt also has great support in the figurative meaning of the sculpture, as it represents her own accomplishments over the last year.
Worcester Cathedral has been a place of prayer and worship for fourteen centuries.
Come and be captivated by the magnificent architecture, stunning end to end vista, Royal tombs (including that of King John and Prince Arthur), beautiful chapels and magnificent Victorian stained glass, which includes a pink giraffe!
Open every day, it is free to enter and all are welcome.
