Sue chose this design because of her love for Art Deco, clean lines and geometric shapes. She then collaborated with the giraffe’s sponsor, Karndean Designflooring, to create particular patterns on his legs.
Art Deco is a decorative art style of the 1920s and 1930s, characterised by bold geometric shapes and strong colours, found in architecture and household objects.
The design for the giraffe concentrates mostly on a black and white motif with a highlight of rich new gold for its hoofs, tail and head and with some of the Karndean floor patterns, it looks as if it is wearing leggings!
At Karndean Designflooring, they see flooring differently, travelling the world in their quest to bring you exceptional floors that inspire and delight.
From the ancient forests of Europe, to the remote Australian outback and beyond, they seek out expressive and intriguing forms in the natural world to influence their unique floor designs.
